ROYALTY FREE HORROR MUSIC, LICENSED YOUR WAY
200+ original horror tracks and SFX across 7 curated collections – slashers, dread, true crime, retro sci-fi and more. Every track is royalty free: one license fee, no recurring payments, no subscription. License it instantly, per track, starting at £9.
WHAT “ROYALTY FREE” ACTUALLY MEANS
“Royalty free” trips a lot of people up, and it does not mean free of charge. It means that once you have paid for the license, you do not owe anything further no matter how many times, or for how long, you use the track – no per-play fees, no recurring royalty payments back to the composer or a rights society. Compare that to traditional sync licensing, where a track can carry an upfront fee plus ongoing royalties tied to how and where your project is distributed. Royalty free horror music like ours strips that second part out entirely: pay once, use it for the lifetime of your project, under whichever license tier fits your use.
Every track here is licensed individually, per project, with no subscription and no expiring rights. Personal or small independent project? The Creator tier (£9/track) covers one finished project outright. Commissioned or monetized work? Indie Creator and Commercial scale up from there – see the FAQ below for which one fits, or browse everything at once with Full Vault Access.

ROYALTY FREE HORROR MUSIC – COMMON QUESTIONS
Does “royalty free” mean the music is free to use?
No – royalty free describes the licensing model, not the price. It means that once you pay the license fee, you owe nothing further no matter how many times or how long you use the track: no per-play fees, no recurring royalty payments. Every track in our catalog still requires a paid license to use.
Is royalty free the same as copyright free or public domain?
No – every track here is still fully copyrighted and owned by Weary Pines. Using it without a valid license is copyright infringement, the same as using any other commercial music without permission. A royalty free license simply gives you the right to use it without ongoing per-use payments.
What license do I need for a personal or small independent project?
The Creator license (from £9/track) covers one finished project outright – personal, student and small/independent work, including a cut you monetize on YouTube or through crowdfunding. It is perpetual and worldwide once purchased: no renewal, no expiry.
What if my project is commissioned, for-profit, or made for a client?
Creator is scoped to personal, hobby, student and small independent projects. A commissioned or for-profit production fits Indie Creator instead (from £19/track), which covers up to three concurrent projects, or Commercial (from £39/track) for unlimited use within your own company. Broadcast, theatrical or paid-streaming distribution needs a separate quote-only Broadcast / Film / Streaming license – get in touch once distribution is confirmed.
Will royalty free horror music get my video copyright-claimed or demonetized on YouTube?
Licensed tracks can be whitelisted against Content ID through our distributor. If a claim shows up on a video using a track you have licensed, get in touch with your order details and we will get it cleared.
Can I use the same track across more than one video or project?
That depends on your tier: Creator covers one finished project per track, Indie Creator covers up to three concurrent projects, and Commercial covers unlimited use within your own company. Licensing tracks across several videos regularly? Full Vault Access covers the entire catalog under one license.
